Nature:White or light yellow waxy solid, odorless, tasteless. Soluble in ethanol, benzene, acetone, mineral oil, fat oil and other hot organic solvents, insoluble in water, but can be dispersed in hot water emulsion under strong agitation. 

Application: Emulsifier. Used in food additives, pharmaceutical products, daily chemicals. It is also used as a solvent for oils and waxes, a hygroscopic powder protector and an opaque sunshade.
