Nature:White monoclinic crystal or powder. Soluble in water to form phosphoric acid and give off a lot of heat, soluble in sulfuric acid. Insoluble in acetone and ammonia.        

Application: Used as a desiccant, dehydrating agent, sugar preparation, and for the preparation of phosphoric acid, phosphorus compounds and aerosols used as semiconductor silicon doping source, dehydration desiccant, organic synthesis shrinkage agent and surfactant, but also used in the preparation of high purity phosphoric acid
