Nature:A white or yellowish, odorless, flowing powder. It is soluble in hot water and generally insoluble in most organic solvents  

Application: Generally used as thickening agent, protective agent, adhesive, stabilizer and additives for the preparation of emulsions, gels, ointment, lotion, eye cleanser, suppository and tablets, and also used as hydrophilic gels, skeleton materials, preparation of skeletal slow-release preparations, and can also be used as stabilizers in food. It can be used as emulsion thickening agent in paint industry, humidity sensitive resistor in electronics industry, cement coagulant and moisture retaining agent in construction industry. Ceramic industry glazing and toothpaste adhesive. It is also widely used in printing and dyeing, textile, papermaking, medicine, health, food, cigarettes, pesticides and fire extinguishing agents.
