Nature:Colorless viscous liquid. Moisture absorption, smell of ammonia. It is miscible with water, methyl alcohol and acetone, slightly soluble in benzene and ether, slightly soluble in n-pentane. Strongly basic       

Application: Monoethanolamine is mainly used as a plasticizer, vulcanizer, accelerator and blowing agent for synthetic resins and rubber, and as an intermediate for pesticides, pharmaceuticals and dyes. It is also a raw material for synthetic detergents and emulsifiers for cosmetics. Textile industry as dye whitening agent, antistatic agent, mothproofing agent, cleaning agent. Can also be used as carbon dioxide absorbent, ink additives, oil additives.
