Nature:Hard glassy transparent or translucent particles. Insoluble in water and inorganic acids (except hydrofluoric acid), soluble in caustic solution.
Application:Moisture-proof adsorbent. For moisture-proof of food; Adsorption of high molecular protein in fermented products during industrial fermentation; Drying and purifying agent for various industrial gases (CO2, H2, O2, etc.). It is used for bonding between the glass plane of picture tube, projection tube, optic wave tube and phosphor powder. Used as fillers for synthetic resins, ink thickeners, anti-settling agents for pigments in coatings, matting agents, soft polishes for vehicles and metals, and anti-settling agents in emulsifiers. A large amount of silica is used as a reinforcing agent for rubber, an opening agent to prevent the adhesion of plastic films, an anti-settling agent for pigments, a matting agent for coatings, a viscosity regulator, a pharmaceutical excipient, a catalyst carrier and for cosmetics.
