Nature:A colorless, volatile liquid. Soluble in many organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, and acetone. Slightly soluble in ethylene glycol and water.

Application:Methyl methacrylate (MMA) exhibits high reactivity and good solubility, enabling it to undergo polymerization and addition reactions. Depending on the application, it is primarily used to synthesize homopolymers (such as polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), commonly known as plexiglass) or copolymers (such as polyvinyl chloride processing aid ACR and methyl methacrylate-styrene-butadiene). Its main applications encompass the synthesis of high-performance plastics, coatings, adhesives, textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries, optical materials, and electronic information devices.
