Nature:A colorless, odorless, transparent, hygroscopic, viscous liquid. It has a pungent, sweet taste. It is miscible with water, ethanol, acetone, ether, and ethylene glycol.

Application:It is mainly used for the dehydration of natural gas and the extraction of aromatics, as a solvent for ink adhesives and textile dyes, and also in the production of rubber and resin plasticizers, polyester resins, fiberglass, urethane foams, and lubricating oil viscosity improvers. It is also used as a lubricant, softener, and finishing agent for textiles, as well as a solvent for plasticizers, humectants, sizing agents, nitrocellulose, resins, and oils.
