Nature:Anhydrous lanolin is a pale yellow or brownish-yellow ointment; viscous and slippery; odor faint and peculiar. Soluble in chloroform or ether, soluble in hot ethanol, very slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water, not saponified in caustic alkali, but in ethanol solution of caustic alkali, pressurized and heated. Soluble in ether, chloroform; insoluble in water.       

Application: It is used in the preparation of cosmetics, pharmaceutical ointment, and also used in tanning and fur industry. It is also used as antirust agent and corrosion inhibitor, and can be used as fatliquor for soap and soap, bath oil, sunscreen and other auxiliary cosmetics; it is also suitable as dispersant for cosmetic pigments.
