Nature:White to slightly yellow monoclinic prismatic crystals, needle-like crystals, or powder. Easily soluble in hot water, alcohol, and hot benzene; slightly soluble in water, ether, and benzene.

Application:Azelaic acid can be used as a reagent and also in organic synthesis. For example, it can be used as a raw material for the production of the plasticizer dioctyl azelate, as well as fragrances, lubricants, oils, and polyamide resins.
