Nature:Colorless, lustrous, flaky crystals. Insoluble in water, readily sublimates, volatilizes with water vapor, and has a distinctive odor.

Application:It is mainly used in the production of phthalic anhydride, which is then used to manufacture dyes, resins, and plasticizers. It can be used to synthesize naphthalene-based high-efficiency water-reducing agents, which are widely used in the building materials and concrete industry. It is also used in the manufacture of pesticides, rubber additives, leather tanning agents, synthetic fibers, and pharmaceutical intermediates. It can also be used to make insecticides and preservatives, with applications covering chemical, building materials, and light industries.
