Nature:White acicular crystals or monoclinic prisms with a pungent taste. It is slightly soluble in water, and soluble in acetone, turpentine, ethanol, ether, benzene and chloroform.
Application:It is used in the pharmaceutical industry to manufacture antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, diuretic and other medicines. In the dye industry, it is applied to produce azo direct dyes and acid mordant dyes, and it is also used in the production of perfumes and other products.
